Aliens in the Attic is not only about kids, but it is definitely for kids, with great visual gags and jokes that don't end up flying high over their heads ("We come in pieces.") The dialogue has been kept clean for viewers of all ages, no one gets hurt, and it is highly doubtful that viewers will find it at all frightening. This simply leaves room for what it seems this film was intended for: sheer entertainment.
Possible side effects of watching this movie may include: the desire to have your own mind-control machine, the urge to adopt a cute 4-armed green alien, or to go on your own family holiday in hopes that adventure awaits ;)
